We have the rare opportunity for an experienced leader to join our team as the Team LeaderKinship Care. This role will oversee a team of multi-disciplined practitioners within Kinship Care and First Supports.
The Kinship program provides support to relatives or close friends who care for children and young people when they are unable to live with their birth parent(s) due to child protection intervention. The program has three key components of service delivery, Contracted Case Management, First Supports for Kinship Families and information and advice to carers.
This is an opportunity for a motivated and experienced leader to join our Out of Home Care program. We are looking for a contemporary leader who has a focus on delivering high quality support and services for our clients, while supporting, mentoring and motivating a team of skilled practitioners.

About you
You will be an experienced Community Services leader. Our ideal candidate will have expert knowledge and experience in building strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders to enable high quality services for our clients.
You will have experience managing risk, completing risk assessments and managing the needs of a range of complex clients.
Our successful candidates will hold the below skills and attributes:
- Relevant Social work Degree, Diploma in Welfare studies, youth work or related qualification
- Demonstrated experience in supervising and leading a team of Community Services Practitioners
- Experience leading and supporting out of home care programs.
- Strong and authentic interpersonal skills with experience working with a range of clients.
- Alignment to Cafs values of Respect, Integrity, Collaboration, Kindness & Innovation
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Bachelor level qualification in Social Work, Welfare, Psychology or relevant field. Formal training in professional supervision / reflective practice is essential.
