1x ongoing role - work location negotiableAn exciting and unique opportunity exists for a talented and passionate individual to join the new Advancing Traditional Owner Rights Branch as Team Leader, Engagement - Advancing Traditional Owner Rights to contribute to the ground-breaking work in the areas of truth, treaty, self-determination and cultural rights.The responsibilities of the Advancing Traditional Owner Rights branch include leading redress and self-determination policy development, ensuring alignment between the Traditional Owner Settlement Act 2010 (Vic) and future Interim Treaty offers as well as undertaking shadow policy work on whole of Victorian Government programs and reforms impacting Traditional Owners.As Team Leader, Engagement - Advancing Traditional Owner Rights, you will build and maintain strong and productive relationships with formally recognised Traditional Owner Corporations as the primary point of contact for policy, operation and funding matters. You will also coordinate strategic issues and opportunities that advance Traditional Owner rights and interests and Treaty outcomes.About youAs our ideal candidate, you will have:
- Experience in leading a team and contributing positively to a team environment, and demonstrated strong people management skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including an understanding of, and willingness to, build internal and external stakeholder understanding of, and support for, formal recognition and Treaty outcomes
- Strong analytical, conceptual and problem-solving skills with sound judgment and capacity to make decisions and recommendations where diverse interests need to be considered
- Highly developed project management, planning and organisational skills
