We are seeking an experienced and knowledgeable person to join us as Team Leader Environment and Biodiversity. This role will enhance, protect and manage the natural environment and prioritise biodiversity values in Clarence by leading and supporting the Environment and Biodiversity team to coordinate the strategic planning, management and maintenance of natural areas and delivery of high-quality environmental projects
About you
- Tertiary qualifications in environmental management, conservation and land management and/or a related discipline, as well as extensive relevant job-related experience.
- Significant experience and knowledge in the strategic planning and management of priority biodiversity values, environmental monitoring, and natural resource management techniques, including fire management.
- Experience in effective leading and managing teams, creating a positive team environment, to achieve service levels and set outcomes for the Infrastructure & Natural Assets group.
- Demonstrated ability to engage and facilitate effective relationships with a range of stakeholders, including NRM organisations, land care volunteers, state agencies, and all levels of the organisation.
- Project management skills including, demonstrated ability in complex problem solving, time management, networking, communication, planning, creative thinking and negotiation.
A base salary between $99,024.15 and $104,916.60 will be negotiated with the preferred candidate + 12.5% superannuation and a 19-day month. A guaranteed 2.5% salary increase applies to this salary (or CPI) in July 2024.
