We remain steadfast in our commitment to promoting the economic, political, and social inclusion of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.   Your new role Funded by the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) and delivered in line with evidence-based best practice, the Early Childhood Approach (ECA) program is designed to provide a range of flexible and responsive supports for children under 9 years with developmental delay or disability. ECA focuses on family-centred practices and a supports greater inclusion for children by building on family strengths and growing the capacity of mainstream and community services to support children with developmental delay or disability. You will lead a dedicated team of Child Development Specialists who are responsible for gathering information on children’s development and linking families and children with developmental concerns and disabilities with the most appropriate supports. Through clear and focused leadership, professional supervision and practice guidance, you will support your team to provide services in the Moreton Bay region, with some services stretching across Brisbane and Beenleigh. Duties A fast-paced environment is your forte`! You play an important part in leading key change initiatives. You will demonstrate strong application of early childhood best practice principles, NDIS legislation and quality assurance when considering recommendations being made to the NDIA and to families engaged with our program. Monitor and report on your team’s performance to meet our key contracted service deliverables. Identify opportunities to support your team with continued service improvements including building partnerships within the community to coordinate and improve services for families. Skills and Experience A relevant degree qualification in Early Childhood Education, Social Work, an Allied Health discipline, Psychology or an area relating to service delivery Demonstrated experience leading a team to provide a high level of customer service People leadership experience with the ability to build and develop an engaged, high performing team Comprehensive management skills including troubleshooting, managing multiple deadlines and conflict resolution Collaborative approach with the ability to successfully influence and engage a range of internal and external stakeholders Interested?
