The Role
Our Penrith site is located in Greater Western Sydney on the banks of the Nepean River and manufactures a range of more than 50 milk-based products. The site currently produces around 170 million litres of product every year - receiving and processing milk 24 hours per day, seven days per week, 365 days a year! We proudly source milk from around 60 dairy farms across NSW and are passionate about supporting local products.
We are currently seeking a Team Leader to join our team on Night Shift. This position will play an important role in driving performance across safety, quality, environment, customer service and best practice across the shift and be the main escalation point for any issues that arise. Previous experience in people management is critical, as well as ability to work autonomy as there is limited outside support during Night Shift. The hours of this role will be 9pm to 5am Sunday to Thursday.
Responsibilities
- Leading your teams and the Operations with Safety as a priority and following the life saving rules
- Support the development and sustainability of practices, systems and processes in relation to SQ&E
- Be the escalation point for day-to-day operational issues in Pro Pack operations
- Facilitate Problem Solving on operational triggers with regards to SQ&E, Performance and Cost
- Support Rostering, Payroll, Return to Work processes and general team member support
- Work with the Day Shift Team Leader and Department Leader to create intra-team cohesion with respect to the execution of operations, standards and the creation of a clear vision for the future.
About you
- Previous experience in Manufacturing or Operations Leadership roles
- Takes initiative and happy to work autonomy
- Ability to build and support a positive Safety and Wellbeing Culture
- Strong People Focus, leadership and the desire to build strong teamwork
- Sound knowledge of computer systems (SEQIS/SAP/EXCEL)
- Understanding of Continuous Improvement principles highly desirable (5S, VM, Focused Improvement, Problem Solving, etc)
