Team Leader Occasional Care is located at GESAC as part of Glen Eira Leisure, the role coordinates the operation of a 30 place, Occasional care service ensuring the maintenance of high-quality services that are responsive to customers and adhere to regulations, standards ad policies.Other responsibilities include:
- Providing direct care to children on a part time basis.
- Complete administrative tasks associated with the delivery of the education and care program inclusive of legislative compliance.
- Ensure centre operation is customer focused, adhering to Children's Services Act 1996 and Children's Services Regulations 2020, Working with Children Act 2005 and meets regulatory compliance.
- Organise staff rosters, ensuring that appropriate regulations are met.
- Create programs suited to the needs of GESAC customers

Commitment to and adherence to organisational values and behaviours. Experience and a passion for working as a qualified childcare worker and Team Leader. You will have a supportive and caring personality, able to think creatively when planning your sessions and confident engaging with a diverse a diverse community, including families and children.The following is also required:
- Diploma in Childcare or equivalent qualification (minimum) according to the Children's Services Regulations 2020
- Recent substantial experience working as a team member in a leadership role in an early years education and care service
- A demonstrated high level of customer service
- Current First Aid Certificate - HLTAID012 or equivalent
- Asthma Certificate - 22556VIC or equivalent
- Anaphylaxis Certificate - 22578VIC or equivalent
- Apply CPR Certificate - HLTAID009 or equivalent
Progressed candidates must undergo pre-employment screening as a standard procedure which will include:
- Employee Working with Children Check
- New National Police Record Check
- Pre-employment medical assessment
- Evidence of right to work in Australia.
