The role
The Team Leader supervises a small team to deliver a high standard of maintenance and improvement works at Parks and Sportsgrounds across the Shire, through:
- planning and scheduling of works and allocating duties
- conducting playground inspections and undertake routine maintenance to required standards
- undertaking audits and report on open space assets and sportsground irrigation inspections
- engaging and supervising contractors for minor works as required
- developing and maintaining strong relationships with sporting clubs, suppliers and contractors
Our ideal candidate
To be successful in this role you will have:
- a relevant qualification; minimum Certificate III or higher in a related field
- broad experience in open space, horticulture and sportsground maintenance, including playgrounds, turf maintenance and irrigation systems
- Experience in and accreditation to conduct playground audits
- AgVet Chemical Users level III certificate
- A current Drivers Licence
