Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for a high performing team of Customer Service Agents, who will be delivering an essential service to the Australian community. You will motivate, lead, and develop the team utilising your experience in managing performance and delivering support. For this reason, you will have proven success in leading a team of customer service staff, particularly in a call centre environment.
What you’ll be doing
- Cultivate a positive, inclusive team environment valuing diversity.
- Lead daily operations to meet contract KPIs and uphold Serco Values.
- Support team development and learning initiatives actively.
- Manage workload to meet client Service Agreement demands.
- Identify and implement efficiency and productivity improvements.
- Handle objections, de-escalations and challenging calls promptly and professionally.
- Take ownership of customer contact outcomes, resolving complex issues effectively.
About you - your ideal skills & experience
- Ability to build trusting relationships.
- Strength in communication (verbal, written, interpersonal).
- Critical thinking, sound judgement making and decision making.
- Attention to detail, ability to concentrate and remain focused.
- Previous experience in a Contact Centre, preferably in service-oriented roles.
- Additional advantage: Experience in a BPO/Outsourcing environment.
