We have a Team Leader opportunity within our Network Operations South, Wide Bay Track Team located at the North Bundaberg Depot.
As the Team Leader you will supervise Multiple workgroups in the day to day operations of maintenance and construction on all our civil assets. Track related and ensure they are fully resourced for each job. This includes assisting in the planning process and ensuring safe, cost effective, timely and high-quality service is met.
Position Responsibilities
- Ensure all aspects of works are carried out in an efficient and safe manner in accordance with all relevant manuals and track standards.
- Supervise the day to day operations of delegated workgroups to ensure total compliance to Queensland Rail's policies/rules and safe working procedures, independently or as a team.
- Ensure regular servicing, minor and preventative maintenance of all plant and equipment is performed to the technical level of competence to ensure maximum equipment availability.
- Liaise with the Track Maintenance Supervisor constantly regarding output to maintain flexibility and continuous updating of daily program requirements and oncall rostering.
- Assist tradespeople in allocating mechanical maintenance support of machines as requested.
- Undertake administrative and recording duties to ensure correct information is forwarded to applicable administrators on time.
- Supervise the workgroup independently as required.
What is the key selection criteria
- Substantial level of resource management skills including supervision of track maintenance/construction activities and work planning.
- Leadership, people management and negotiation skills as well as knowledge of track maintenance and construction activities, systems and processes as applicable to the position.
- You will need problem solving, analytical and quality improvement skill
We are looking for:

The team are currently working a 9 day for fortnight. To meet the business needs some weekend work will be required. This role will also require to be on an oncall roster, currently one in every four. Base Salary of $90,000
