About the Role
Mercy Community have a fantastic opportunity for a Team Manager - Assessment & Service Connect (ASC) and Pathways for Early Learning & Development (PELD) programs. This is a Permanent Full-Time based in our Ipswich office.
This role is responsible for ensuring effective service delivery, coordination and day-to-day management of the Assessment and Service Connect (ASC) and Pathways for Early Learning and Development (PELD). The primary purpose of this position is to provide effective leadership, management and support in the effective development and implementation of high-quality service delivery to children, young people and families accessing these services.
$102,554 - $107,079 pa (SCHADS L6) plus superannuation plus generous salary packaging available
What you’ll be doing
As Team Manager – ASC & PELD, some of your key duties will include (but not limited to):
- Ensure effective service delivery, coordination, and day-to-day management of the ASC & PELD programs
- Support and supervise Caseworkers within the ASC & PELD programs
- Plan, coordinate, implement and administer budget and financial reporting
- Oversee the effective management of critical and non-critical incidents in line with organisational and legislative requirements
- Provide input into strategic planning to achieve expected service outputs and outcomes
- Identify service gaps and provide appropriate recommendations
About you
As the successful applicant, you will possess:
Essential
- Tertiary undergraduate degree or higher qualifications in Social Work, Behavioural Sciences, Human Services, Psychology or related discipline
- Experience in conducting safety and risk assessments and providing family support and intervention services; with a strong understanding of domestic and family violence
- Sound working knowledge of the Queensland statutory child protection system
- An understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, cultures and societies and the issues which impact upon them in contemporary society together with a commitment to culturally appropriate engagement and practice
- Demonstrated intermediate ability to use computer IT systems including MS Word and Excel
- Queensland Provisional Green or above Driver’s License
- Ability to obtain positive notice in the Working with Children Check (Blue Card) and any other legislatively required personal history screening as required
- Evidence of current vaccination against whooping cough or willingness to obtain prior to commencement
Desirable
- Demonstrated leadership experience and the ability to motivate and mentor staff and build an effective team with a culture of high performance
- Previous DCSSDS professional experience considered highly
- Experience in delivering early years education programs/services
