Position Summary
Site and Operations Manager Latrobe Valley Community Mental Health
Based in Traralgon, Latrobe Regional Health are looking for a Manager to join our Latrobe Valley Community Mental Health team on a full time basis.
The Community Mental Health Team of Latrobe Valley supports and cares for children adults and older people across Latrobe Valley who are experiencing acute and long term mental illness.
The Site and Operations Manager is responsible for the operational management of the Community Mental Health Programs including the 0-25 team and the 26+ staffing group. In addition, and where relevant, the management of additional, site-specific programs will also require leadership and support by the Site and Operations Manager. Such programs may include, and are not limited to the Mental Health and Police Response (MHAPR) program, Lived Experience and Peer support staff and administration staff.
The Sites and Operations Manager will:
- Lead, support and manage the daily operations of the local staff / team
- Report to the General Manager Community Mental Health Service
- Be responsible for site specific budgets, targets and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Work collaboratively and in partnership with the Clinical Lead positions for 0-25 and 26+.

- Registered Nurse or Division 1 Registered Nurse with post basic qualification in mental health nursing holding a current Registration Certificate with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) OR
- Approved degree in social work or other qualification approved for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers OR
- Approved degree and registration with AHPRA OR
- A degree or diploma from a recognised School of Occupational Therapy and registration with AHPRA
- Demonstrated experience in senior leadership and management roles.
- Experience with change management
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work well as part of a team

Essential: Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate and develop a team of multidisciplinary staff.
Essential: High level of analytical skills and problem-solving capacity.
Essential: Understanding of the change management process.
Essential: Well-developed time management practices and prioritisation systems.
Essential: Highly developed written and interpersonal communication skills together with the ability to liaise, consult and negotiate effectively within the health/community service sector
