Victims Assistance Program - Team Manager

The Victims Assistance Program (VAP) is funded by the Department of Justice and Community Safety and is available across multiple locations of Victoria.
VAP provides an accessible service where victims are listened to, informed, and empowered in their pathway to recovery.
The program is developed to assist clients with any support needs that have arisen as a result of the crime. Junction is looking for a new Team Manager to support the day-to-day operations of the Victims Assistance Program across the Hume Region.
The VAP Team Manager will lead and collaborate with the team to ensure a high standard of practice is delivered through coaching, guidance and supervision.

Selection Criteria:
- A relevant qualification such as Bachelor of Social Work, Behavioural Science, Post Graduate qualification, or Diploma of Community Services with substantial experience.
- Experience in implementing best practice approaches to engage victims, including those with multiple and complex needs, including experience in delivering a trauma informed and strength based service when working with victims.
- Experience in providing flexible and responsive service delivery to victims with low, medium and/or high needs, including the use of appropriate assessment methods to determine level of risk, needs, intervention and engagement.
- Experience in supervision of staff across multiple locations to deliver a high-quality service.
- Highly developed communication, networking and interpersonal skills, ability to liaise effectively with a wide range of people within the community and or professional community services sector.
