Job description

About Us.  UPD, connecting people to their investments.

UPD doesn’t just design electricity and telecommunication plans; we create
connections between people.  We invest in the things that are important to our land and community by creating solutions to move our community from where they are to where they want to be.

Underground Power Development Pty Ltd (UPD) is people-centric and fosters a collaborative approach to providing client solutions whilst ensuring its people work in a flexible environment that values growth and investment in them personally, not just profits, whilst offering a work environment that is multicultural, multigenerational and diverse.

The most important element in UPD’s ongoing success since the business's inception has been its people.  We are fortunate to have many long-standing employees who are viewed as key stakeholders to the business and the wider community, with some that have been connected to UPD since day one, over 28 years ago.  Our work environment is not typical of most design houses; we are enthusiastic, a little loud, collaborative, and fast-paced.

Since 1996, we have delivered electrical and telecommunication designs for over four thousand projects in Western Australia ranging in size from small lot subdivisions, to commercial and industrial projects through to major award-winning master-planned communities across Western Australia.  UPD is proud to deliver projects for WA State Government organisations, top-tier developers, and civil engineers through to family-owned developments.  We even contributed to the successful launch of a space telescope!

  • A proactive approach to identifying key issues and providing practical solutions in real time.
  • Excellent time management skills and can pivot in a dynamic environment.
