New Opportunity for a Technical Analyst to join our Estimating Team providing data manipulation and analysis to generate detailed cost estimates for heavy construction projects. With your advanced Excel knowledge, you will work as a key part of our estimating team assisting estimators in bidding for major resource, construction and infrastructure projects.
The Role- Data Manipulation: Using advanced Excel techniques to manipulate large datasets, including sorting, filtering, and performing complex calculations.
- Cost Estimation Support: Collaborate with the estimating team to gather and organize project data, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Excel Model Development: Design and develop Excel models to automate calculations, validate assumptions, and generate cost estimates efficiently.
- Process Improvement: Continuously explore and implement new Excel features, shortcuts, and best practices to optimize workflows and enhance productivity.
To be successful in the role you will need to possess the following:
- Proven experience as a Technical Analyst or similar role, with a strong focus on Microsoft Excel.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel functions, including but not limited to VLOOKUP, PivotTables, SUMIFS, and data validation.
- Familiarity with Excel VBA/macros is a plus.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
- Desire to manage multiple tasks and prioritise in a fast-paced environment.
