Our client is a leading and innovative mining company, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Architect with a specialised focus on mining applications from pit to port. As a key player in the industry, they are committed to leveraging cutting-edge technology to optimise our operations and drive sustainable growth.
They are looking for a talented Technical Architect who possesses deep expertise in designing and implementing mining applications throughout the entire mining value chain, from pit to port. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping the technological landscape of our mining operations, ensuring seamless integration and performance of applications critical to our success.
Responsibilities
- Lead the architectural design and implementation of mining applications, covering the entire mining process from pit to port.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable and robust technical solutions.
- Provide technical leadership in the evaluation and selection of technologies, frameworks, and platforms for mining applications.
- Develop and maintain architectural standards and best practices for mining applications to ensure consistency and efficiency.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define and prioritise system requirements and enhancements.
- Conduct regular assessments of existing systems, identifying areas for improvement and optimisation.
- Work closely with development teams to ensure adherence to architectural standards and alignment with business goals.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior technical staff, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
Skills needed
- Bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Technical Architect with a focus on mining applications.
- In-depth knowledge of the entire mining value chain, including pit operations, processing, transportation, and port logistics.
- Strong expertise in designing and implementing scalable, reliable, and high-performance applications.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate complex technical challenges.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven ability to lead and mentor technical teams.
