Form of workOur Versent Modern Run team is growing. We have a fantastic opportunity for a highly motivated Technical Business Analyst to join our team.
In this role, you'll tackle challenging tasks in a fast-paced environment, collaborating closely with technical and business stakeholders to ensure a seamless migration process.
As the bridge between our existing team and customer platform, you'll play a crucial role in facilitating communication. Your exceptional relationship-building skills will be key as you navigate the technical complexities and business requirements.
The Technical Business Analyst for APIs and microservices is responsible for analysing, specifying, and validating the business needs of project stakeholders, be they customers or end users. This includes interviewing stakeholders and gathering and compiling user requirements to convey to development teams throughout the software lifecycle.
This position will also apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help support the development process and ensure that project deliverables are met according to specifications.

Key Responsibilities:
Requirement Gathering and Analysis: Collaborate with project stakeholders to gather and define detailed requirements and design specifications for API and microservices architectures. Ensure the alignment of business objectives with technical solutions.
Documentation and Specification: Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for APIs and microservices, including functional specifications, data mappings, and API documentation.
Process Mapping and Improvement: Analyse and map business processes, identifying areas for improvement or enhancement through the use of APIs and microservices.
Stakeholder Communication: Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, translating business needs into technical terms and vice versa.
Project Management Support: Assist in planning and monitoring project timelines and milestones. Facilitate communication and understanding of technical requirements among all project participants.
Quality Assurance and Testing:
Work closely with QA teams to develop test cases/scripts for APIs and microservices. Participate in testing processes to validate requirements and identify issues.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Business Analyst, with a strong focus on API and microservices development projects.
Strong understanding of API design standards, patterns, and best practices.
Knowledge of microservices architecture and its impact on business strategy and operations.
Experience with Agile/Scrum methodology and the ability to work in a fast-paced, iterative development environment.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to work in a team environment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Experience with tools for API testing and documentation (e.g., Postman, Swagger)
Preferred Skills:
Certification in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP, PMI-PBA).
Experience with cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure or GCP) and understanding of how to leverage them for building scalable API and microservices architectures.
Knowledge of data modelling and experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
