Technical Business Analyst

We are looking for a junior to mid-level Technical Business Analyst to join a highly driven and dynamic data development team.

New challenges will lurk around every corner and you’ll be in the company of a highly skilled team solving problems collaboratively.

As the subject matter expert, you will have the opportunity to drive the development agenda, present to a wide variety of business stakeholders and will be working on some of the most vital development projects for the global business.

What will you be doing?

As a key liaison between business benefit and technical delivery, you fill focus primarily on:

• Producing analytical insights and data driven reports
• Breaking down business requirements into technical delivery items as user stories
• Facilitation of Scrum ceremonies and drive optimal operational performance for the development team.
• Requirement gathering from business stakeholders, both internal and external.
• Documenting and designing solutions that align with the overall data architecture of the business.
• Acting as a Subject Matter Expert on the available data, systems and processes.
• Drafting and maintaining documentation of all data processes and assets
• Communicating with a broad audience and update external teams on progress of solutions.
• Working effectively within an agile team environment to deliver robust, scalable and easily maintainable solutions.
• Assist with regular delivery of technical solutions and ensuring customer outcomes are delivered.

The right candidate will have:

• A strong data focus with exposure to the data engineering process
• An excellent ability to communicate and work with technical and non-technical people
• A set of strong problem-solving skills (and enjoy flexing them)
• Technical SQL scripting and data analysis skills
• Experience or exposure to data visualization tools
• Skills in partnering with stakeholders and in developing and maintaining long term supportive relationships
• Ability to assess the effectiveness of processes and procedures, and recommend improvements
• Ability to work independently and as a contributing, collaborative team member
• Experience in driving agile ceremonies like sprint planning, retrospectives and backlog grooming across multiple projects
• Experience defining optimal data and API solutions, aligning with business objectives and strategy.
• An understanding of cloud concepts and development (AWS, GCP etc). Serverless concepts will be looked on favourably

What credentials do you need?

• Tertiary education in Business, Information Science or equivalent industry experience
• Minimum 2 years relevant commercial experience
• Experience with property or real estate data solutions is highly desirable
