About the Role:
The Transport & Civil Infrastructure business unit within the Transport & Assets Division is currently seeking a Technical Business Analyst. This is a newly created temporary project role for six months, with the potential for extension based on performance and project needs. The Technical Business Analyst will work closely with the Digital Parking Permit Project team, facilitating workshops and other collaborative research activities to identify functional requirements and design business-appropriate solutions.
Key Accountabilities:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business processes, workflows, requirements, and the implications of implementing a digital solution.
- Produce clear, detailed business requirements and design documentation for procuring appropriate software solutions.
- Effectively consult with business areas, managers, users, and other stakeholders.
- Analyze technical solution options, ensuring they address business requirements and align with project objectives.
- Provide advice on barriers and opportunities for different models to support the development of a business case for preferred options.
- Manage and prioritize multiple tasks with competing deadlines to ensure timely delivery.
- Prioritizing and delivering project tasks within tight timeframes.
- Managing stakeholder expectations and seeking timely input for business requirements and system design.
- Investigating and modeling solution options to fulfill Council's business and customer requirements.
- Technical and business analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to analyze existing business systems, processes, workflows, and the environment in which they operate.
- Demonstrated experience as a Business Analyst (at least 5 years) in digital projects.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to convey information clearly and to listen and respond to others appropriately.
- Experience facilitating workshops for diverse stakeholder groups and the ability to synthesize input into requirements.
- Experience producing artifacts such as user journeys, process maps, functional requirement specifications, and test cases.
