Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled Technical Business Analyst with expertise in privacy regulations and data management to join our dynamic team. As a Technical BA specializing in Privacy Data Deletion, you will be responsible for overseeing the process of identifying, managing, and deleting sensitive customer data in compliance with regulatory standards, industry best practices, and internal policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Legal, Compliance, IT, and Data Governance to develop and implement strategies for privacy data deletion.
- Conduct thorough analysis of systems, databases, and applications to identify and classify sensitive customer data subject to deletion.
- Define and document requirements for data deletion processes, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements such as GDPR, CCPA, and other relevant standards.
- Work closely with IT teams to develop and implement technical solutions for data deletion, including automation where applicable.
- Perform impact assessments to understand the implications of data deletion on various systems and processes.
- Develop and maintain metrics and reporting mechanisms to track progress and effectiveness of data deletion initiatives.
- Provide guidance and support to business stakeholders on privacy data deletion best practices and procedures.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field.
- Proven experience (6+ years) as a Technical Business Analyst, with a focus on Data Privacy and protection.
- Strong understanding of privacy regulations such as GDPR, CCPA, and other global privacy frameworks.
- Experience working in the banking or financial services industry preferred.
- Proficiency in data analysis, SQL, and other relevant technical tools.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively liaise between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to think autonomously and hit the ground running.

Candidates must be based in Sydney with full work rights. This role is not open to day-rate contractors.
