- The role of the IT Analyst – HiPortfolio sits within the IT Analyst team which is part of the Information Technology & Change division of BNP Paribas Securities Services (BP2S). The HiPort IT Analyst is responsible for the analysis, design, configuration and testing activities for all HiPort application changes and upgrades.
- HiPort is the application used for investment accounting and reporting including Australian Tax. HiPort is a vendor developed product, the vendor being the SS&C, formerly DST Systems.
- In addition to the application itself, the Analyst is also required to support the respective interfaces, reports and excel spreadsheets used as part of the end to end process.
- The team works within a matrix structure, delivering into projects that are managed across all platforms. They communicate with internal and external stakeholders including business stakeholders in operations, product and coverage, vendors, consultants, suppliers and occasionally BP2S clients.
- To act as a consulted party in reviewing Business Requirements, providing feedback where applicable;
- Working with relevant project stakeholders to understand the project goals help develop a solution that is consistent with current design, scalable and client agnostic;
- Producing a functional design document that meets the signed-off business requirement, includes the management of the signoff process for the document;
- Proactively raising and providing solution options for risks and issues related to the solution;
- Working with the technical, business and test teams during testing phases to assist with development of test cases, provide technical advice and support and ensure test coverage meets solution requirements;
- Providing advice and support throughout the project in relation to the solution and technology associated with it.
- Working with the business or client to understand the full scope of the requirement, taking into account all upstream / downstream impacts relevant to the business process.
- To act as a consulted party in reviewing Business Requirements, providing feedback where applicable;
- Working with relevant project stakeholders to understand the project goals and help develop a solution that is consistent with current design, scalable and client agnostic;
- Developing user story based functional design in-conjunction with the business, architects, developers and service delivery staff.
- Developing system test cases for all requests for change
- Conducting system test execution and producing system test completion reports
- Providing UAT and production implementation support.
- Working with the vendor to identify the enhancements / fixes to be delivered as part of an upgrade release and working with the business to ensure business benefit is achieved from the upgrade.
- Production of system test for enhancements / fixes
- System test execution conducted and system test completion report produced.
- Appropriately applying the development and project management methodology
- Providing realistic estimates and delivering within these estimates (time and budget)
- Complying with audit and security requirements
- 5+ years’ HiPortfolio Technical BA or HiPort Support experience
- Experience in a technology change management capacity in the Financial Services Industry, ideally in custody or back-office administration for the funds management industry
- Has general knowledge of financial markets, accounting procedures and organization operations and possibly some tax knowledge
- Experience working with data, data warehouse and writing SQL queries; some level of ability to read SQL procedures desired.

- Degree qualified in IT, Business, or related discipline; and / or relevant work experience in a similar role.
