The main focus of the role will be to remediate and document out of support Operating-system virtual server platforms, which will see you: communicating with business stakeholders, gathering requirement, solution-architecture, deploy, building as-built documentation, providing change control documentation, executing parallel build phrase, and transitioning the current environment into the new supported production infrastructure. It covers: Requirement Gathering; Solution-architecture; Change Management; Knowledge base Management; Communication and an Agile Way of Work
You will bring to the role:
- Demonstrated experience in developing technical documentation around IT infrastructure
- Demonstrated experience on provisioning and configuring Windows servers and Linux servers on a virtual environment (VMware)
- Ability to understand and validate infrastructure design and operational procedures such as monitoring, backup, hardening, installing packages, patching on Windows and Linux virtual servers and Perform Operating system related configuration e.g. DNS/NTP updates, IP changes
- Experience in executing and managing infrastructure server migration/upgrade projects
- Experience and understand IT infrastructure ITIL processes
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
