SSAB Special Steels is looking for a motivated, performance-driven Technical Development Manager to join our Special Steel Team in Australia. About the position
As a Technical Development Manager, you will report directly to Technical Director, collaborating closely with sales team in Australia, providing strategic, sales and development support. Your primary focus is to develop strategic goals for the region, visit customers and develop new leads and opportunities for our branded products Hardox® and Strenx®. You will do this through the provision of effective methods, strategies and the Company’s goals and values.
Main responsibilities
- Support technical customer development in terms of design, production and quality.
- Support customer upgrading to Special steels and strategic products by developing customer projects.
- Develop sales through technical support and develop Regional Sales Manager through technical training and support in daily work.
- Develop and implement local market strategy together with Area Sales Manager to achieve SSAB’s short- and long-term strategic goals.
- Develop business in new and old segments to secure sales and marketing target.
About You
- University degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or Materials Engineering.
- Solid technical skills, min 2-4 years’ experience in the industry with understanding business and strategic ability.
- Excellent presentation & communication skills are meriting.
- Experience executing development project with customers, experience with high strength steel meriting.
