As one of the Platform Technical Leads in the CIO Office, you will drive the success of a group of Platforms through creating a culture of continuous improvement and strategic decision making. You will use your subject matter expertise, leadership, and technical experience to ensure alignment to the Platform and Bank strategies by:
- Collaborating with business and technology leadership to optimise Customer and Enterprise Platform performance,
- Shaping new change, both BAU and project, across the Customer and Enterprise Platform to ensure efficient and effective technical decision making to drive business value,
- Contributing a design mindset to evolve technology best practices with our team and suppliers to amplify the capability of the platform
In the role you will work across the CIO Office and alongside key non-technical stakeholders in functions such as Digital, Finance, People & Culture, Risk, Frontline and Operations to deliver changes for programs and business improvement initiatives to support the implementation of the Great Southern Bank Strategy.
You are an influential member of the technology team that delivers great customer experiences for our key customer facing channels and internal employee base. We deliver digital self-service capabilities that enable our customers to bank how they want and when they want. We make our customers lives easier by delivering new features and removing friction in conjunction with enabling efficient processes for our employees.
About you...
- Strong technical background with experience across multiple technology disciplines such as infrastructure, software development, or support
- Experience working across a variety of technical domains, including organisation ticketing tools (ie ServiceNow) and back-end systems such as payroll, risk, HR and finance applications, with the ability to 'deep dive' and ensure correct solutions are implemented.
- Strong communication skills and ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Understanding of software design for scalability, security, performance, and reliability
- Strong experience with Agile, Continuous Delivery, CI/CD Pipelines, QA methods and tooling
- Knowledge of development techniques and architectural patterns.
- Experience with APIs, microservices and microservice architecture
- Knowledge of emerging and disruptive technology applications
- Vendor relationship management skills and standard knowledge of integration patterns with Software as a Service (SaaS) applications
- Solid knowledge of technology concepts such as client-server, SOA architecture, relational databases, web-based architectures & SDLC processes
- Experience working with Enterprise (finance, people & culture, risk) or Customer-facing technologies highly considered.
- Tertiary qualification in relevant discipline, and/or
- At least 10 years professional experience within Information Technology ideally in the financial services industry, ideally across businesses or divisions
