About the Role
The Technical Lead is a critical, end-to-end role designed for a highly motivated individual eager to shape the future of FUNDAY's product portfolio. This position is at the intersection of innovation and quality, requiring a blend of creativity, precision, and strategic thinking. The ideal candidate will drive the new product development (NPD) process from ideation to launch, ensuring alignment with FUNDAY's growth ambitions and market demands.
The key responsibilities of the role will include market analysis and strategy development, involving close collaboration with marketing and management to define a strategy for further growth in the market. This individual will lead product trials, be hands-on with development, and act as the point of contact with manufacturers and co-packers. The role will also be equally focused on QA, ensuring that FUNDAY and its stakeholders continue to maintain the highest standards of quality and food safety. As part of the role, the successful candidate will be responsible to critically review operational procedures, with a view to improving efficiencies across the business.
Skills & Experience
- Degree in food science or a similar qualification
- Proven experience in product development, ideally within the confectionery, health snacking, or functional food space (Around 5-10 years’ experience)
- Strong understanding of QA processes, food safety, and regulatory compliance.
- Exceptional creativity with a passion for developing unique and new-to-market products.
- Eager to be challenged, learn, and grow with the capability to be a proactive problem-solver with a can-do attitude.
- Collaborative team player who thrives in cross-functional environments and is comfortable diving into the details.
