The position:
As the Technical Lead, you will be responsible for a variety of activities across the workshop and customer base. The expectation is that you will be on the tools for around 45% of your time, either in the workshop or on-site. You will support workshop and external trades staff with their technical needs, speak with and meet customers to better understand their needs, support the admin team in sourcing the correct components for projects, and prepare work estimation and job costings. In addition, you will work with the CEO and Technical manager in further developing the workshop and supporting the customer base.
Duties include:
- Work on the tools both in the workshop or out one site for around 45% of your time
- Provided technical support to trades, sales and administration staff
- Prepare project estimations and job costs
- Coordinate daily work activities for trade staff
- Liaise with clients relating to work progress
- Identify and improve workflow and processes
- Have a minimum 5-year background in technical mechanical Fluid Power
- Have a proven track record in supervision or as a workshop leading hand
- Have the ability to multi-task and prioritise your daily workload
- Possess a collaborative and team-orientated attitude
- Have a mechanical trade of heavy diesel qualification
- Be able to read and interpret hydraulic circuits
