Our Technology & Operations Infrastructure Automation team is looking for an experienced Technical Lead, Platform Infrastructure, and you could be it!
This role offers the chance to work with cutting-edge technologies and lead the development of cloud infrastructure and automation strategies within the Customer Technology Platform Engineering organisation.
As the Technical Lead for Cloud Engineering, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping and directing the organisation's cloud architecture. Your responsibilities will include overseeing the development and execution of cloud infrastructure solutions, utilising infrastructure as code for serverless and container-based systems like Kubernetes, to support the goals and objectives of the Customer Technology Platform Engineering team.
Additionally, you'll provide thought leadership in cloud engineering, driving the adoption of best practices and patterns across the platform engineering organization.
This is a full-time, permanent role that is open for the Sydney/ Melbourne location and involves a hybrid work model.
ABOUT YOU
We're currently seeking a Technical Lead, Platform Infrastructure, someone with a demonstrated track record of leadership in driving and facilitating change within complex environments. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to make decisions and resolve intricate technical challenges.
The desired candidate will possess the following experience:
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in cloud infrastructure and automation, with demonstrated experience in solving technical problems and at least 3 years in leadership.
- In-depth understanding of cloud technologies, such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform
- Extensive experience in test automation, secrets management, environment management, usage of patterns, and cyber cloud security practices like hardening the cloud.
- Strong understanding of risk management principles and practices in cloud infrastructure and automation.
- An Expert with infrastructure as code, containers, and Kubernetes with extensive experience in a large-scale environment.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Relevant cloud certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Microsoft Certified Azure Solutions Architect.
- Strong Terraform expertise is essential.
