Technical Officer / Mechanical Draftsperson / Solidworks

The Role:

You will be using your skills to create drawings, documentation and provide administration support in a business designing cooling systems for industrial markets.  Working closely with the engineering team and shop floor personnel you will produce engineering drawings, bills of materials, technical documentation and instructions to enable product manufacture and assembly. This translates into opportunities for the right person to enter a career in engineering.

Is “our customers”, and they include well-known global leaders in their fields, such as Caterpillar, Kenworth and Cummins. These well-established associations find InnoTherm working on a diverse range of projects from large mining trucks, power stations & rail locomotives for sectors such as large Transport, Rail, and the Oil / Gas industries.

Important Skills Required:

• Hands on practical skills.  Metal trade experience ideal, or hands on abilities that can be demonstrated.  Knowing how metal is joined and cut is important for this role.  Our designs include sheet metal, extrusions, castings, welded and bolted assemblies.
• Very strong communication skills.  You're fluent in English, know how to send professional, clear and concise communications.  You also have good verbal, written, interpersonal and organisational skills.
• Provide accurate detailed work on multiple projects at a time.
• Liaise with suppliers during design and production.
• Intermediate or advanced Microsoft Office skills.
• Understanding of engineering drawings and CAD.
• Familiarity with ERP systems.

The Person:

• A hands-on, technically minded person looking for a career in engineering.
• You have, or are seeking, experience in a manufacturing environment with exposure to modern manufacturing systems and processes.
• Strong verbal and written communication and a friendly manner.
• Perform your tasks effectively and autonomously.
