We're looking to add a Technical Project Manager to our Digital Utility team on a 12-month fixed-term basis, to work closely with the Digital Utility Project Manager to deliver the Sewer Optimisation Strategy.
Reporting to the Project Manager, the Technical Project Manager is responsible for managing the field trials for various new sensor technologies being considered by South East Water for deployment in the sewer network as well as managing the lifecycle of the existing fleet of sensors already deployed in our sewer network. The Sewer Optimisation Strategy is required for the mass deployment of sensors in the sewer network to prevent all sewer spills within our control, and will help us identify the optimum number and locations to deploy our sensors for real-time monitoring in the sewer network.
This position is responsible for leading and managing the trials to approved schedule, budget, scope, quality and business requirements. Broadly, the incumbent will review and refine scope for these trials, which will involve stakeholder consultation to develop field trial plans that identifies tasks, extent of contractor engagement, stakeholders, and will manage key milestones aligned to the Sewer Optimisation Program, program progression and risks.
You're looking for your next contract opportunity to add value in an innovative and experienced team. Your qualifications and/or experience in engineering or technical fields, coupled with your exposure or interest in emerging technologies make you a great fit for this role.
With a background in project management (ideally in the digital space), you can demonstrate experience using project management methodologies, tools and software. Proven experience delivering multiple projects simultaneously means you demonstrate strong organisational and time management skills to ensure project completion within established timelines. Your dynamic personality and refined communication skills allow you to quickly establish trust and rapport to collaborate effectively with other team members, suppliers and management.
You are confident in leading organisational change and delivering within a complex and highly collaborative environment, and experience of delivery in an environment undergoing significant digital transformation and/or disruption will be helpful. You're a problem solver, and leverage data analysis to drive informed decision-making.
Any additional experience in sewer or confined space environments or testing of IOT sensors will be highly regarded.
