About the role
The role is based in Melbourne and responsible for sales of Mersen Power Transfer Technology (PTT) products within Victoria, South Australia and Tasmanian territories, focusing on the Renewable Energy sector, whilst supporting and retaining the existing customer base within Process Industry and Traction Applications.
Whilst this role is Sales based, it will also involve Application Support and hands on Technical Inspections, with the need to travel Inter/Intrastate.
This position is ideally suited to an Electrician wanting to progress to a Technical Sales Role.
You will be required to:
- Achieve revenue targets
- Identify new business opportunities
- Increase market shares
- Arrange customer quotations for goods and services
- Maintain excellent customer support and service to existing and new customers
- Plan and undertake regular customer visits
- Submit regular activity reports
- Provide detailed input into the yearly budgets process
- Provide customers with technical support / reports
- Comply with all company procedures and policies, including OH&S

- Electrical Trade or Degree
- PC literate with basic Word, Excel and Outlook skills

- Hydro / Wind Industry Experience
- Experience in and knowledge of manufacturing industries e.g. Steel, Paper, Traction etc.
- DC Machines Experience
- Technical report writing
- Sales Force Experience
