Technical Sales Representative

Techrite Controls is a leading manufacturer and supplier of combustion controls and gas equipment. We exclusively represent global OEMs of combustion controls and gas systems in Australia and looking to expand our team in Queensland.

Key Accountabilities:

• Respond to phone and email inquiries.
• Plan and conduct sales calls for potential and existing customers.
• Prepare quotes and provide technical documentation for gas components, valves, pressure and flow instrumentation.
• Process customer orders, liaise with local suppliers and generate purchase orders on ad-hoc basis.
• Maintain adequate level of product knowledge and application.
• Liaising with our Application Engineers & Product Manager to ensure excellent customer service and on-time product delivery.
• Identifying and capitalizing on new opportunities.
• Preparation of weekly/monthly business activity reports and periodic sales reports and analysis.
• Sales support to ongoing account management at national level.
• Ensure customer satisfaction and generate additional revenue streams.
• Perform other duties as requested.

Skills and Experience required:

• Experience in an industrial distribution environment - gas valves and instrumentation desirable.
• Background in electrical and/or mechanical trade.
• A strong technical mechanical aptitude and background.
• Flexibility, committed attitude and positive approach, punctuality and reliability.
• Excellent problem solving and time management skills.
• Well-developed computer skills, Microsoft Office.
• A keen interest in continuing to develop your own skills as well as an understanding of Techrite products and applications.

The position reports directly to the Branch Manager and on the job training, professional development will be provided.
