We are seeking a vegetable agronomic professional to be based in South Australia, preferably in or around the Northern suburbs of Adelaide and the Barossa Valley, who has technical and ideally commercial experience to support the Vegetable Seeds team in product development and implementing strategies for new product introductions.
Reporting to the Head of Sales ANZ, the Technical Sales Representative for Vegetables Seeds will drive sales and grow market share across Syngenta’s Vegetable Seeds product range by working with key growers, industry leaders and related stakeholders. They will identify, assess and promote new vegetable seed varieties at on-farm screening trial and Commercial Demonstration events in key locations with key growers. They will strengthen grower/customer connections for the Vegetable seeds business across the South Australian market with a particular focus on, but not limited to, the key regions of The Riverland and Virginia.
We are keen to hear from you if you have degree qualifications in agricultural science, marketing or a related discipline with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in agricultural selling at various levels. In addition, experience in key account management is necessary for this role, preferably but not essentially with Vegetable Seeds products.
Equally important are excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work autonomously while still being an active and constructive member of a strong, focused team. This includes being organised and planning the workload with a willingness for frequent travel throughout South Australia and some domestic travel within Australia for key strategic team meetings.
