About the role
In this dynamic, fast paced and highly challenging role, you will be charged with the following:
- Calling on customers to provide product, service, and technical engineering information.
- Quoting and following up on jobs
- Assisting with installations, commissioning, and testing of products
- Providing training to customers on the use of these products
As the ideal candidate and to make the transition as smooth as possible, you must possess the following key attributes:
- Previous applications engineering experience within the Automation and Controls industrial sector.
- A willingness to call on customers to demonstrate the product range.
- An understanding of automation and controls, variable speed drives, electric motors etc.
- The ability to build rapport with people at all levels both internally and externally.
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and time management skills
- A relevant tertiary electrical or electromechanical degree
