Form of workOur Sydney office is recruiting for a recent graduate to work as part of the quality team with a well-established pet food manufacturer based in Southwest Sydney. Our client is committed to providing locally sourced fresh and nutritious food to cats and dogs. They are seeking a food science graduate to join their quality team in a casual day shift (5am-1pm) position. This position is a full-time, casual role to begin with but there are opportunities for a permanent role.
Duties:
- Routine and non-routine quality checks in compliance with ISO and HACCP standards
- Technical testing of packaging integrity
- Maintaining documentation and ensuring CCPs are achieved
- Driving food safety and continuous improvement projects
- Sensory evaluation and ensuring products meet specifications
- Assisting with internal and 3rd party audits
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science or a related discipline
- Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment is desirable
- Knowledge of food safety standards
- Ability to work as part of a fast-paced dynamic team
- Strong computer skills MS Word/Excel
This role is ideal for a fresh food science graduate who is looking to gain experience in industry. Full training is provided for the casual position with opportunities for it to become a permanent role.
