We are looking for a Technical Training Manager, Australasia to support our OTIS field teams across the business.
About you
In this role, your primary focus would be EH&S, Field, and Operational training needs, development, and delivery, including critical position training (as advised). This role may also cover other areas as part of an overall training strategy for your skills & competency level. You will also develop and manage an organisational-wide training strategy.
- Permanent role; preferred location Sydney CBD office.
- One day per week ‘work from home’ potential.
- Reports to the ‘New Equipment / Modernisation, Field Operations Director.
As Technical Training Manager, your key responsibilities will include
- Support and drive the development of an organisational-wide training strategy.
- Identify and recommend ‘better practice’ training methods in consultation with key stakeholders.
- Deliver training where appropriate and support the development of training materials, tools, and techniques, emphasizing safety and quality.
- Proactively seek out opportunities for internal and external customer training.
- Consult with management on performance, organizational, and leadership matters.
- Able to develop and maintain technical documentation, reporting, and consistent team communication.
- Conducts needs assessments to determine measures required to enhance employee job performance and overall company performance.
What you will need to be successful
- Tertiary qualifications or equivalent in Education, HR, Training, Business, Operations, or Engineering or Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
- Min 3-5 years of Training Coordination and/or Training delivery experience.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage the training function to support meaningful change enabled by technology in the lift industry.
- Have good presentation abilities using PowerPoint, video, and in a classroom.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Highly organized, structured, and able to deal with multiple tasks and competing priorities.
- Excellent attention to detail and results-driven (solution based).
- Works well in a team and is forward-thinking.
