We’re on the hunt for a proactive, driven and self-motivated Technical Writer with exceptional time management skills to join the Snack Brands Australia team. This is a full-time role on a minimum 12-month fixed term contract which will be based at your choice of one of our 3 operational sites (Blacktown, Smithfield or Orchard Hills), focused on the development of technical documentation to support the upskilling of new starters and continued growth of existing employees as we embark on an operational transformation journey.

In this role you will be responsible for the creation and delivery of technical documentation such as standard operating procedures, technical guides, training plans and line inductions. This role is crucial for supporting our business transformation journey as we consolidate operations across multiple manufacturing facilities into one.
What you’ll be responsible for:
- Development of standard operating procedures (SOPs), one-point lessons, training plans, in classroom curriculum (i.e. videos), competency and recognition of prior learning assessments (collectively, learning materials).
- Using various sources of new and existing technical information/documentation to develop updated learning materials used for training and induction.
- Working with a broad group of stakeholders to understand technical and functional (i.e. Quality, safety, environmental) requirements for the development of learning materials.
- Managing document usability, through ongoing maintenance and review of learning materials.
- Ensuring learning materials retain technical integrity, are grammatically correct and align to Snackbrands document writing standards.
- Regularly reporting document development progress updates
- 3+ years’ experience in writing procedure or user technical documents.
- Certificate IV in workplace training & assessment.
- Previous experience in FMCG experience is desirable.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational and coordination skills.
- Attention to detail a must.
- Ability to translate technical language into simple easy to follow user SOPs.
- Ability to prioritise and manage stakeholders in a fast-paced work environment.
