The RoleWe are seeking a skilled and experienced Technical Writer to join our team. As a Technical Writer, you will play a crucial role in producing highly engaging customer documentation for our ERP software. This position offers the opportunity for you to work both remotely (work from home) and in the office
Responsibilities and Duties- Work closely with our product and support teams to maintain the knowledge base.
- Develop and maintain our digital adoption tool to enhance user experience.
- Collaborate with trainers to update our in-application training content.
- Lead the migration of existing content from our current Wiki to a new platform.
- Work with both onshore and offshore teams to help deliver localised content.
- Perform quality assurance (QA) to ensure accuracy and usability within our software.
- Take into consideration and apply customer feedback on documentation to improve usability.
- Collaborate with designers and Technical Writers to improve and maintain style guides and content standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Proven experience as a Technical Writer, delivering external customer documentation.
- Strong understanding of software design lifecycle and software design practices.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment with a "get it done" attitude.
- Genuine passion for technology, including a keen eye for design.
- Proficient in the use of documentation tools such as Confluence, WordPress or similar.
- Proficient in the use of the Office 365 suite of products including Team and SharePoint
- General understanding of web technology.
- 3+ years of technical writing experience within an enterprise-wide environment
- Experience with digital adoption tools like WalkMe, TeachMe or similar user guidance platforms.
- Experience with Project management tools like Jira.
- Experience with communication and marketing platforms like Constant Contact and MailChimp.
