Telecommunications Technician

We are seeking an experienced Telecommunications Technicianto join our dynamic team at the Malaga office in Western Australia.

Reporting to the team leader of the rigging crew, you will be working alongside riggers as the ground team member in the installation and maintenance of telecommunications network systems.

Duties will include:

• Providing installations, moves, additions, changes, maintenance and repair support for customer Telecommunications equipment and systems
• Installations and maintenance of Radio Network systems
• Installation and maintenance of Mobile Data Networks; Installation and maintenance of broadcast, radio, cellular, Wi-Fi, digital networks
• Conducting line of sight surveys
• Ensuring all tasks are good quality workmanship and SLA's are met
• Inspecting completed works and observe operations, to ensure conformance to design and equipment specifications and compliance with operational and safety standards
• Ensuring that all company supplied vehicles, test equipment, tools and PPE are taken care of and maintained in a serviceable condition
• Assisting a small team of Technicians / Riggers to perform installation or maintenance activities with the highest efficiency, productivity and quality.

To be considered for this role you need:

• An unwavering commitment to safe working practices
• Previous experience in the telecommunications industry
• A degree or diploma certification with a telecommunications or electrical engineering will be highly regarded
• Telecommunications Cabling Licence, or commitment to obtaining a licence as directed with fibre endorsement highly desirable
• Industry Construction White Card
• Australian Drivers Licence for a manual vehicle
• Previous experience installing and/or supporting Huawei, Nokia and Ericsson RBS, WCDMA/LTE (preferred)
• Knowledge of Installation and maintenance of antenna and feeder cables on monopoles, roof tops and towers
• Basic understanding of transmission systems including PDH, SDH, DWDM, ATM and packet switched networks.
