About the role:

Are you a registered nurse with an interest in Medicinal Cannabis?

Apex Health have an exciting opportunity for a Telehealth Nurse to join our team, assisting veterans to access Medicinal Cannabis for the treatment of their chronic pain conditions.

This is a full-time role that offers the flexibility to work from home. 

Responsibilities:

• Demonstrate clinical knowledge to provide a collaborative approach to patient assessments and triage.
• Achieve optimal patient centred outcomes through critical thinking, compassion, and flexibility.
• Advanced knowledge to assess and evaluate for patient medications and/or contraindications.
• Collaborate closely with General Practitioners (GPs) and multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated patient centered care.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with relevant legislation.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and training to maintain current knowledge of best practices within industry standards.

Requirements for the role:

• Bachelor's degree in nursing required (RN).
• An ardent supporter with a genuine interest to assist Australian veterans.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Effective time management.
• Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
