Tailem Bend Kindergarten & Rural Care provides high quality Education and Care for children, families and community while working in partnership with Government and Non-Government agencies and local community services. The Rural Care program is a long day care service and is directed by the preschool director.
We currently have an opportunity for an experienced early childhood worker to join the Tailem BendRural Care team. We are flexible and happy to negotiate rostering and fractions of time with the successful applicant.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Participating in planning, implementing, evaluating, and reporting of care and education programs
- Support the involvement of families and the local community in the operation and management of the centre
- Working independently and collaboratively with teaching staff in centre strategic planning and review processes
- Provide basic physical and emotional care for students such as toileting, meals and lifting.
- Contribute to the care, general well-being, and safety of all students by monitoring student behaviour and taking appropriate action
What you will need to be successful in the role:
- Must have, an approved diploma level education and care qualification (approved qualifications published on the ACECQA website)
- Current approved first aid qualification, anaphylaxis, and emergency management training (refer to the ACECQA website for lists of approved qualifications)
- Experience in working with children aged 0-12 in education and/or care setting
