Our Tenders and Procurement Team plays a pivotal role in the City. As part of the City’s Finance Department, the Tenders Administration Officer coordinates the process by which the City’s largest suppliers are chosen, and ensures compliance to local government regulations.
The City has many exciting projects on the horizon, to facilitate this we need to add a Tenders Administration Officer to join the team. On the job training will be provided for the right candidate looking to increase their skills in the procurement space in the local government sector.
The position of Tender Administration Officer is much more than just a facilitator of the tender process. They are a highly trusted ‘go to’ person who will be working closely with all of the departments across the City. The City welcomes applicants who wish to apply in a full time or part time capacity for this role – We are looking for the right candidate, whatever their current availability!
Skills, Knowledge & Capacity
We need someone who can bring:
- Well-developed interpersonal and verbal communication skills to ensure effective communication with a diverse range of stakeholders
- Excellent written communication skills
- High attention to detail, to accurately prepare and review content
- A strong team mentality as well as the ability to work autonomously
- Well developed skills in the use of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
- Previous purchasing experience is preferred, but on the job training will be provided.

Total Package
Remuneration will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Salary ranges between $66,289 - $79,989
