An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Terminal Manager to lead our Pinkenba terminal team.
Reporting to our General Manager - Operations, this role is responsible for managing and leading the Terminal Operations at Pinkenba in order to operate in full compliance with Quantem’s safety management system and meet the requirements of the company’s strategic plan.
Responsibilities:
- Responsibility for all safety requirements on site
- Leadership and management of all terminal activities, to ensure in full compliance with the company’s safety management system and customer requirements.
- Driving a proactive and inclusive culture at Pinkenba. Act as a role model and actively promote the values of safety, excellence, partnering, accountability, and leadership.
- Actively work with maintenance and engineering to minimise down time and improve operational capability and efficiency.
- Responsibility for the generation of annual Operations budgets
- Actively engage and support customers in operational requirements in collaboration with the commercial team
- Driving improvements in operations to achieve and exceed ESG commitments.
To be considered for the position, candidates will possess:
- Extensive experience driving and leading operations in bulk liquid storage of a comparable scale and size.
- Extensive experience in 'best in class' bulk liquid storage
- Demonstrated track record of instilling a safety culture.
- Demonstrated technical understanding of highly engineered product and the storage of dangerous goods.
- Extensive people and organisational leadership of a large workforce.
- Experience and understanding in relevant legalisation including safety, workplace relations and environmental requirements.
- Tertiary or post graduate qualifications in an appropriate discipline is desirable.
