Located 38 kilometres south of Mackay, Dalrymple Bay Coal Terminal Pty Ltd operates with a name plate capacity of 85 million tonnes per annum exporting coal from Central Queensland to ports around the world. This wouldn’t be possible without great people - people just like you.
Put your project and people management skills to work taking charge of the supervision of capital and major maintenance projects. Reporting to the Project Delivery Team Leader your major focus will be coordinating people and resources to ensure project outcomes are delivered on time and within budget.
You will be responsible for contractor supervision; building relationships with contractors and internal project stakeholders; establishing a team environment; promoting site safety standards and maintaining open communication.
We are looking for someone who can:
Adhere to project timelines and effectively manage resources, achieving optimal time and cost outcomes.
Monitor work completion to ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards.
Allocate and coordinate activities to support the execution of defined project activities.
Effectively utilise personnel and resources to achieve project outcomes through the establishment of a team environment and maintenance of open lines of communication with necessary stakeholders.
To be successful in the role ideally you will possess:
Experience in maintenance project management methods in a bulk materials handling environment.
Demonstrated experience with supervising multiple maintenance projects with a multi-disciplined team to achieve results.
Proven experience in safety leader
Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
Mechanical or Fabrication trade qualification with proven experience in heavy equipment and or fixed plant maintenance.
Qualifications or equivalent experience in Frontline Management and Project Management are desirable.
This is a two-year fixed term opportunity. This role works Monday to Friday with weekend and shift work required to align with project schedules. The successful candidate is required to be flexible and adapt to the roster.
