This role will collaborate with major functions across the business to drive net sales growth of the company's channel partners. This will be accomplished by developing and supporting the execution of channel plans through the organisations sales team and directly with customers to achieve company sales plans, marketing objectives & profit goals.
To be successful in the role, the Territory Manager must be a driven sales orientated hunter, capable of building strong relationships, effectively collaborate with internal & external stakeholders, understand customers’ needs and help guide sales activities through the marketing planning function.
Essential Functions:
- Achieve sales KPI objectives with primary focus on growing Revenue and Gross Margin.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with both existing and new customers to grow the business of all the company core product lines.
- Work with Sales and Marketing Management to ensure proper roll out of the company range within the selected Buying Groups and Key Accounts during campaigns and in general.
- Manage customers’ expectations with a focus on solution selling to ensure company products are considered industry best practice and strive to achieve market leadership;
- Develop, plan and execute new business acquisition strategies to ensure the territory/region is achieving growth targets as set by National Sales Manager;
- Ensure sales reporting and rebate management is utilised with regular discussions with stakeholder to ensure performance is in line with expectations;
- Manage account discount structures - Special pricing via localised Contract, Trading terms.
- Build and maintain relationships with high value accounts at all levels within the territory. This would include but not limited to product training, demonstrations, engagement programs and sales solutions to ensure the company brand portfolio is competent for on-selling with sales teams within outlets; End user engagement and New business development focus.
- Sales reporting – Per CRM (Pronto) & Monthly Territory Sales Reports.
- 3-5 years Sales & Account management experience in Industrial B2B environment within Central to North Queensland at a minimum. Consideration on exceptional candidates that don’t meet this criteria.
- Experience in a distributor model business and end user engagement.
- Excellent Solution Selling experience and presentation skills.
- Strong relationship building skills at all levels, from owner to branch manager to counter hand.
- Strong interpersonal skills including influencing, persuasion & negotiation skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills including the ability to present on products and strategies as well as report-writing skills.
- Strong computer skills in spreadsheet, word processing, presentation.
- Good sales reporting & analysis skills.
- Hybrid of ’HUNTER Sales Mentality with the ability to grow and account manage existing and new accounts.
- Excellent analytical and numeracy skills.
- Fluid Handling sales experience desirable.
- Industrial, Agricultural, Automotive sales experience desirable.
- Hands on Trade background in with direct Industrial Sales experience desirable.
- Oil industry, Fluid mechanics; Understanding of Flow Meters desirable.
- Business Intelligence & Pronto systems and CRM experience desirable
