A unique opportunity is available for a Territory Sales Representative, to target growth across our customer base and to drive new business within the Agricultural Industry. The role requires a candidate who thrives on pressure, pushing to move sales along quickly and building key relationships with internal and external stakeholders.In addition to managing the key accounts, you will primarily be responsible for identifying and converting new sales and/or up-selling to larger corporate customers.
The Role:
- Prospect for new and existing customers / business.
- Qualify leads and develop opportunities and follow-up on reasons for missed opportunities.
- Prepare detailed well-presented written quotations and proposals for the sale of agricultural equipment.
- Maintain a call register/sales cycle of new and existing customers.
- Assist with planning, preparation, and placement of promotional material in conjunction with other team members and suppliers.
- Perform machinery assembly for pre-deliveries.
- The focus of your customer base will be the regions from Bundaberg to Sunshine Coast, Mundubbera and Gayndah area.
The Candidate should:
- Have 3+ years in a business development, sales, management or similar role.
- Have previous experience in a sales role that focuses on the agricultural sector.
- Be very goal oriented, setting direction, maintaining control of the sales interview and working your presentation to achieve the desired outcome.
- Be quick and energetic, focusing on many prospects at once.
- Recognise the need to build relationships while presenting information in a factual, straightforward way, adapting their communication style to accommodate a range of buyers.
- Have general level of knowledge in techniques / process for growing and harvesting sugarcane.
- Have intermediate level of mechanical knowledge across a range of agricultural machinery.
- Have intermediate level of mechanical knowledge with sugarcane harvesters.
- Have a ‘hands on approach’ with machinery for customer deliveries. This includes having a valid LR Truck licence.
