Test Automation Technology Manager

Manage a team of skilled Test Automation Engineers and Test Managers to create, develop, test, and deploy a robust Test Automation framework, demonstrating a thorough grasp of the DevSecOps model. Tackle complex assignments and explore innovative collaboration approaches with team members, assuming responsibility for delivering the Test Automation framework and overseeing the entire life cycle of the Test Automation and Test Management platform.

• Permanent position - up to $200k packaged.
• Remote working encouraged - limited office requirements.
• Minimum baseline security clearance required.

Responsibilities:

• Act as a Technology leader to lead the Test Automation and management team to deliver leading-edge technology to customers.
• Manage a team that is responsible for engineering, lifecycle, design, and producing HLD and E2E ownership on Test Automation and Test Management.
• Have an excellent understanding of Test Automation framework architecture, interfaces and understanding of various protocols with an ability to influence stakeholders.
• Advanced knowledge of testing and scripting development in Test Automation tools and being a key influencer of automation technologies.
• Drive the team to meet deadlines set by management; prepare and take ownership, setting goals and working with team members to deliver.

Requirements:
Candidates should have demonstrated expertise and practical understanding in scripting languages, including Python, Bash, and Ansible. Possess experience in programming languages like Java and operating systems such as Linux. Additionally, showcase proficiency in utilizing Test Automation and continuous integration (CI) tools, such as iTest, Selenium, Velocity/NetworkDevOpsAgent(NDA), TOSCA, GitLab/GitHub, Visual Studio code, Jenkins, and Docker.
Additionally:

• Prior Test Automation management experience in a complex integrated environment.
• Experience in managing a team responsible for developing Test Automation scripts and providing design/ recommendation on building Test Automation framework.
• Understanding of API Automation using REST/SOAP and Postman, with prior API testing would be beneficial.
• Drive team to use automated pipeline and use best practices such as CI/CD tools like Jenkins/ Gitlab/ GitHub, deployment practices of Test Automation tools with a continued focus on resiliency and scalability.
• Understanding cloud-native containers (Kubernetes, Dockers) technology drivers, Knowledge of public clouds like Azure, and AWS will be beneficial.
• Development of supportive scripts to validate or integrate network elements.
• Presentation and communication skill with both internal and external stakeholders with excellent negotiating skills.
• Have hands-on experience in using document management tools like Jira and Confluence and to integrate them for Test management reporting capability.
• Have exposure to IP networking and knowledge of virtual and container applications and coaching team members on how to do it themselves.
