About the role:
The claims and provider system tester is responsible for system testing across all claims and provider portfolios (hospital, ancillary & medical). This role requires a thorough understanding of systems, claims rules, the fund’s policies and procedures and providing accurate information to internal stakeholders.
Please note this position is an initial 12 Month max term contract role
Key responsibilities
The responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to the following:
- Work with key stakeholders to create test scenarios and test cases
- Conduct systems and functional testing across all claims and provider functions
- Complete regression testing when system changes are made
- Report on test defects, define severity and work with key stakeholders to define priorities for each defect
- Work with key stakeholders to resolve test defects
- Ensure all test related work is carried out as per the defined standards and procedure.
- Read documentation and understand what needs to be tested
- Preparing all reports related to testing that is carried out
- Identify and make recommendations for improved testing efficiencies.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate the following qualifications, experience and skills:
- Excellent communication both written and verbal
- Ability to adapt positively to changing work practices and needs
- Sound understanding of the Fund’s products and services
- Ability to enhance unit productivity
- Ability to work autonomously and set own priorities to ensure unit objectives are met
- Accuracy of data input skills
- Be an effective team players
- Advanced PC skills in Outlook, Excel, Word and fund management system
Good to have:
- Previous experience in health fund software testing
- Experience in the Private Health Insurance Industry
- Experience in systems programming
