Test Manager

Position Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Test Manager to oversee the testing activities for our Oracle payroll uplift project. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, proactive communication skills, and extensive experience in stakeholder management. Additionally, the Test Manager will demonstrate a strong ability to create test assets from existing systems to ensure thorough testing coverage.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of testing activities for the Oracle payroll uplift project, ensuring alignment with project timelines and objectives.
2. Develop and maintain comprehensive test strategies, test plans, and test cases to validate the functionality and reliability of the uplifted payroll systems.
3. Collaborate closely with upstream and downstream stakeholders to gather requirements, provide updates, and ensure alignment throughout the testing process.
4. Proactively identify and address risks, issues, and dependencies related to testing activities, working closely with project managers and other stakeholders to mitigate potential impacts.
5. Provide leadership and guidance to the testing team, including test analysts and other team members, to ensure adherence to testing standards and best practices.
6. Utilize your strong analytical skills to create test assets from existing systems, leveraging existing data and processes to facilitate efficient and effective testing.
7. Coordinate with external vendors and partners as needed to support testing activities and ensure successful integration with external systems.
8. Monitor and track testing progress, providing regular updates and reports to project stakeholders on testing status, issues, and outcomes.
9. Continuously evaluate and improve testing processes, methodologies, and tools to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and quality assurance practices.
10. Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to payroll management and testing, incorporating relevant insights into testing strategies and approaches.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience in test management, with a focus on complex projects such as system upgrades or migrations within the airline industry.
• Strong understanding of Oracle payroll systems and their integration with existing systems, preferably within the context of airline operations.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
• Proactive, outgoing, and diplomatic approach to stakeholder management, with a demonstrated ability to navigate complex organizational structures and relationships.
• Strong ability to create test assets from existing systems, leveraging existing data and processes to facilitate comprehensive testing coverage.
• Familiarity with testing tools and methodologies, including test case management systems and defect tracking tools.
• Experience working in Agile or other iterative development environments is preferred.
