A premium textiles supplier in the Architecture and Interiors industry is seeking a Design Assistant to join their growing team sourcing and developing textiles for the brand.
In this role you will be responsible for supporting the existing Design Team with the development of textiles across upholstery, drapery and soft furnishings, ensuring all logistics and administrative functions are coordinated and completed seamlessly.
Key responsibilities
- Manage the development schedule and coordinate logistics of all new textile development
- Oversee the sourcing of all drapery and upholstery products
- Champion all day to day administration tasks
- Ensure sampling of new and existing products is managed in line with project schedules
- Liaise with the Marketing Team to ensure strategies are aligned with product development and sales objectives
- Assist with general showroom duties and administration tasks
Skills and experience
- 3+ years working in Product Design within the Textiles or Design industry
- Tertiary qualification in product or Textile Design
- Advanced Creative Suite skills (Photoshop & Illustrator)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong data entry and numeracy skills
