We are currently seeking a Thai Airways Cargo Sales and Operations Controller who will share our values of Safety & Security, Passion, Integrity, Reliability, Innovation and Teamwork.
Main accountabilities include:
- Provide Thai Cargo office with operational and in house sales support.
- Communicate loading/unloading instructions to the Menzies Aviation team.
- Liaise with Cargo agents and freight forwarders to enquires.
- Perform cargo bookings in Thai Airways operating system.
- Communicate with Thai cargo space control regarding space availability for connections beyond BKK.
- Compliment market sales efforts by telephone Sales and email advice to cargo agents.
- Handle general tracing for relevant shipments.
- Assist the Thai manager in compiling and issuing of Special Sales Agreements to the MEL cargo Market.
- Respond to requests made by Thai Cargo network offices.
- Maintain high levels of customer service and customer satisfaction.
- Other duties as required
Candidate requirements
- Tertiary qualification preferable.
- A minimum of 2 years GSA and support service experience preferred but not essential.
- Dangerous Goods Awareness certified preferred but not essential.
- Excellent communications skills (both oral and written).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills: independence, decisiveness and the ability to work accurately and independent of immediate support.
- Flexible, determined to succeed and self-motivated.
Safety, Security and Compliance
Carry out all cargo related activities (as above but not limited to) as directed by the Company through its policies, procedures and training to ensure the success of the operation including the following:
- Remain up to date with all station notices relating to policies and procedures
- Remain up to date with all relevant operational training
- Maintain a safe and secure working environment at all times
- Comply with the Company’s open, fair and honest reporting culture
