Form of workWe are seeking a Floor Manager / 2IC to join the Operating Theatre Leadership team in a Full-time position at Southern Highlands Private Hospital.
About the Role
In this role you will be direct support to the Nurse Unit Manager of the Operating Suite and will assist in ensuring the efficient and effective management of all human & material resources within the department. The role encompasses planning, implementing and evaluating all practices, processes and clinical services of the unit.
You will also facilitate the smooth running of the department and operating sessions, coordinating the continuum of care relating directly to surgical/anaesthetic intervention to provide an optimal surgical outcome for patients in the perioperative unit.
This role will suit either an experienced perioperative clinical manager or an experienced perioperative nurse looking to progress their career into clinical leadership.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will bring a strong clinical leadership skillset and a passion for the provision of the highest standard of clinical care as well a focus on customer service in line with Ramsay's core values.
You will also bring:
- Relevant qualifications and Registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse.
- 5 years minimum relevant experience as an RN in the perioperative environment.
- Relevant post-graduate specialty qualifications and/or management qualifications will be highly regarded.
- Excellent people skills, the ability to manage change and the complexities of the perioperative environment.
- Clinical leadership or management experience will be highly regarded.
- Ability to plan, develop, implement and evaluate a continuous improvement program.
- Excellent time management skills

Will be based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances.

About Ramsay
Southern Highlands Private Hospital provides 73 acute medical and surgical beds, as well as an extensive range of onsite rehabilitation and palliative care services for the community and beyond to the surrounding areas. The Hospital has 4 Operating Theatres, a Procedure Room and a Day Surgery Unit. The hospital is centrally located in Bowral, adjacent to the local public hospital.
Requirements
- Must provide a National Police check conducted within the previous 12 months
